Glossary of main concepts and terms for SHF
Work in progress: We don't have a page the clearly defines the main concepts and terms in SHF. The definitions and info is scattered across documents.
The SHF project is a web-based membership system for Sveriges Hundföretagare (SHF) (the Swedish Dog Industry Association). To be a member in SHF, people must provide proof that they have met specific training and certification requirements, have sound business practices, and also agree to abide by a code of ethics and uphold high standards and principles in working with dogs.
This is the official SHF page that describes the requirements (Use a translator site or browser plug-in to translate from Swedish.)
The SHF project provides public web pages for SHF members so that the public can see that they meet the SHF standards. People can use the website to search for companies that have achieved the SHF label* (the "H-branding" / "H-markt"). (_The word "certification" has a specific legal meaning in Sweden, we we say that someone has achieved the H-markt/H-label. We avoid using the word certification as much as possible.)
