Fresh: Mark II Upgrade Procedure

Mark II robots (serial number ending in 43 through 235). Latest (v3.3) image: https://github.com/microsoft/moabian/releases/tag/v3.3.0

Pre-requisites:

• Open Moab and remove SD Card
• Burn 3.3.0 image (v3.3.0.img.gz) on SD Card (download from assets https://github.com/microsoft/moabian/releases/tag/v3.3.0)
• Connect Moab to your network via ethernet.
• Attach a keyboard and HDMI monitor for console access

1. Login to Moab

Connect Moab to an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard.

username: pi
password: raspberry

2. Update firmware to 3.3

Update firmware and reboot device.

cd moab
sudo os/setup
sudo reboot 0

diagnose
level
sudo shutdown 0

3. Log back in and Test

• Check splash for something like this:

• Calibrate (x2)
• Joystick
• PID
• Brain1
• Restart (Tap power button - Take note if Moab shuts down instead of restarting)

4. Shutdown

Hold power button for 3 seconds
