Fresh: Mark III Upgrade Procedure

Moab serial number > 50 (M2-00000236) are version Moabian 2.4.1.
Follow these steps to upgrade to v3 (as of Feb 16, 2021, in beta).

Pre-requisites:

• Connect Moab to your network via ethernet.
• Attach a keyboard
• Attach an HDMI monitor

1. Login to Moab

(Option 1) ssh into Moab

ssh [email protected]
password: raspberry

(Option 2) Connect Moab to an HDMI monitor and USB keyboard.

username: pi
password: raspberry

2. Get version 3 and update

down
cd moab

git fetch
git reset --hard
git checkout main
git pull
sudo os/setup
sudo reboot now

3. Log back in

4. Test

• Check splash for valid IP Address

· IP 192.168.1.200

· Kernel Linux 5.4.51-v7l+ armv7l

· Load 0.18 0.32 0.28

· CPU 53.1° C

· URL https://aka.ms/moab

· FW 3.0.30.0971024

○ Moabian 3.0.30

(if IP Address looks like above 192.168.... not starting with 169 or 127 )

• Calibrate (x2)
• Joystick
• PID
• Brain1
• Restart (Tap power button - Take note if Moab shuts down instead of restarting)

5. Shutdown

Hold power button for 3 seconds
