Main Plugin Elements for Players
There is a lot of feedback I've had over the period of time I've been developing this plugin regarding the wiki, and this was one of the pages requested the most, so whether you're a server owner, a moderator or simply a player with the plugin running on a server you play on... welcome to the world of HeadsPlus!
Contents:
If you've seen some heads plugins similar to this (e.g. HeadHunter - there are actually two different versions of this plugin by different authors, and one of these versions brought me to making HeadsPlus due to it being outdated - MobHunting, etc), you pretty much know what to expect from this plugin too. However, some things may be slightly different - for example, the looting enchantment is supported, and occasionally, you may get different head textures from one mob. In other words, head hunting just got a lot more exciting...
Server owners/admins may have head drops for some mobs disabled, so if you're unsure on whether a mob drops heads or not, ask them (if you're allowed). Either that or their chances are really low (they can go as far as 0.000000000001%... no, actually, smaller than that...).
If the server also has custom mobs made from a well-known plugin, stay tuned, because, in the future, I may add support for that...!
If your server has an economy and the feature is enabled, heads can be sold for your server's currency. It's simple; as long as you don't place your head down (please don't if you want to sell it! This is an issue on Minecraft's end, not mine!) and you have permission, you can sell your heads.
How though? It's simple, with one single command: /sellhead. There are a few ways to use this command:
- If the server has the sellhead GUI enabled, an inventory will come up with all the head types you can possibly sell. Left-clicking one of these heads will attempt to sell all of the head types in your inventory whereas right-clicking will sell only one head at a time. If the GUI is disabled, it will simply sell all the heads in your head.
- Using /sellhead all will sell all the heads in your inventory of which can be sold. That's it. Simple.
- Using /sellhead [Optional amount to sell] will sell the heads from a specific mob type only.
Crafting heads is one I've been asked about a lot and can depend on how the server has HeadsPlus configured. By default, recipes are set up, however the plugin won't allow players to obtain heads from them. If this is the case, ask your server admin/owner to:
- Add any creative mode worlds to the world blacklist (this can be done using /hp blacklistwadd ).
- Set craft-heads in config.yml to true.
Heads can be crafted in a crafting table and even in the crafting menu when you open your inventory in survival mode. Heads are also shapeless recipes, meaning you can place the ingredients wherever you like in the grid, and you'll get a crafted head. Simple!
However, the ingredients do depend on the actual server's configuration - by default however, you'd want an ordinary skeleton skull as the base ingredient, of which is used for all heads. However, following this, there are specific ingredients for different mob heads to be crafted - usually, it is the mob's loot that is used to craft the mob's head (for example, rotten flesh for zombies - so putting a skeleton skull and rotten flesh into a crafting table would give you a zombie head).
