September 2016 Morning Status Meetings
This page contains a brief summary of the status of the Xolotl development team each morning during the month of September 2016.
Sophie - Creating a gradient temperature handler in the Xenon branch. Adding the stepover PETSc option as a default option generated by the preprocessor.
Sophie - Testing a new way to implement the bubble bursting with a PETSc monitor in the sectional branch.
Sophie - Running iron cases to compare to Paraspace. Testing the new bubble bursting.
Sophie - Removing the effective reaction vectors in the xenon branch to save some memory.
Sophie - Updating the 2D/3D solver to take the temperature gradient correctly into account in the xenon branch. Work on the Carnahan EOS.
Sophie - Implementing 1D grouping method in the Xenon branch.
Sophie - Finishing to implement the 1D grouping method in the Xenon branch. Looking at why the 3D benchmarking is slow on Titan.
Sophie - Comparing 2D and 3D benchmark on Eos. Testing the 1D grouping method in the xenon branch.
Sophie - Implementing the carnahan EOS in Xolotl and testing the 2D grouping method.
Sophie - Continuing to test the 2D grouping method on the tungsten case.
Ozgur - Planning a set of UQ tests for the week, and starting the tests.
Ozgur - Continuing on the UQ tests with different options. Completing UQ analysis for individual and combined MD and SRIM data for a simple Xolotl case.
Sophie - Continuing to test the 2D grouping method on the tungsten case. Trying the iron case by limiting the value of the binding energies.
Sophie - Pushing the Xenon case to bigger network with the 1D grouping scheme. Adding a grouping option to the xenon branch.
Ozgur - Resolving the lognormal - forward propagation problem while continuing on UQ runs.
Sophie - Continuing to push the Xenon case. Looking at the partial derivatives of the modified trap-mutation that generate wrong indices sometimes.
Ozgur - Running UQ for W100 with diffusion, drift, and trap-mutation.
Ozgur - Continuing UQ runs for W100 with diffusion, drift, and trap-mutation.
Sophie - Investigating why the grouping scheme doesn't work with larger group sizes.
Sophie - Continuing to investigate why the grouping scheme doesn't work with larger group sizes. Running bubble bursting simulations to time scale of hours at low flux.
Ozgur - Adding a preprocessing step on UQ scripts.
Sophie - Continuing to investigate why the grouping scheme doesn't work with larger group sizes. Preparing slides about the bubble bursting for the telecon.
Ozgur - Adapting irregular grid branch of Xolotl for UQ runs. Continuing the runs with different cases.
Sophie - Adding the "magic" methods from Aaron to the 2D grouping method. Running more bubble bursting simulations.
Ozgur - Adding Weibull distribution into UQ-Xolotl scripts and, reproducing the UQ runs with Weibull distribution.
